Further to my comments about my exit interview, that person also suggest a certain organisation that he thought I would benefit from. I struggled not to laugh out loud. Of course! Immediately, a lot of things about this guy started to make sense.

Needless to say, I wasn't interested. Not in the least.

Shame on us: Residents of a Sydney council appose a Muslim School [May. 27th, 2008|08:40 pm]
[Tags|, , , ]

Camden Council opposes Islamic school development

Pauline Hanson had this to say:
"Every school in Australia is Christian apart from the Islamic schools. I have no understanding of what they teach in the Islamic school, do you?" Ms Hanson asked.

Are we surprised that she has "no understanding"? I'm not. And as I remember, my public primary school was not Christian, it was secular.

This bigot had the lion share of jaw-dropping quotes from the ABC TV article:

"Our democratic rights are being taken away. We just don't want [muslims] here. Not only in Camden, we dont want them in Australia. [All their countries] are dictatorships, they want to rule our world."

Some other mind-bogglingly stupid comments.
"We're not bigots, we have the right to express our opinion."

You have the right to express your opinion, if you are express a bigoted opinion, you are a bigot.

"My kids don't speak Arabic, so they cant go to this church. Next thing you know there'll be a mosque, then a little town ... it's not right. It's totally not appropriate for the area."

I'm not catholic, but I don't have a problem with Catholic churches, even if they continue to fuck young boys.

"I'm not saying all Muslims are bad. They are not all bad, but their teaching is."

That's like saying: "The people of Camden aren't all bad, but they are all crack-whores"

ABC Reporter: Why are you wearing an Australia flag?

Bigot: Why not? Why shouldn't I? Why is the ABC against Australia?

Google turned up some more depressing bigotry from some small-minded douchebags:
The pigs’ heads, planted on wooden stakes on the Camden site, with the Australian flag draped between them, are believed to be in protest of the Muslim school proposal.

Found here. My response to that

Why is it that alot of people confuse "secular" with "Christian"? Would they appose a Buddhist Temple?

If Obama is assassinated .... [Mar. 5th, 2008|10:56 am]
[Tags|, , ]

... it proves that America generates fear of the world, from it's fear of its own people.

The fact that there are assassination fears shows that American's are afraid of themselves - meaning that those who hate Obama are feared by those who like him and what he stands for.

People tend to project their own values onto others by expecting from them no better than they expect from themselves.

If they are afraid that someone will pop Obama, its not hard to understand why they are afraid of Mexicans and Europeans.

It's almost like they're saying:
"We can protect you from the evils that we tricked you into believing".

I Changed Policy Today [Jul. 24th, 2006|02:34 pm]
[Tags|, , ]

In the meeting the the HR dickbag, we discussed the Company's "Short Term Temporary Assignment" policy. The policy, dated September 2003 stated:

The following applies to employees who will be on a temporary assignment for a minimum of 6 weeks up to eighteen months, with the intent that the employee will be returning to their home base and maintaining their resident status. This only applies to employees of the Company, and for the purposes of these assignments, will not cover the costs for spouses or family dependants.

I had been preparing to go to Cuba for the last two and a half months on the premise that it would be handled just like any other extended site trip, and since the policy became official in September 2003 I could probably list a dozen instances where the company had paid for the spouses of employees to travel for less than 18 months (myself included). I appealed to the dickbag's sense of family by saying, "c'mon man, I know you're a family guy; you can't tell me that if you were going somewhere for a year and a half, you wouldn't expect the company to send your wife and your new baby with you". To which he replied:

"If it was important to me, I'd pay for them to come with me, or I wouldn't take the position"

What are you supposed to say to that? My reply was going to be: "fine, then I don't accept the position" but didn't get a chance because the Regional Business Manager stepped in and said that they should be able to work something out. The dickbag said that he would prefer it to be official.

I pretty much ended the discussion with this:

Well, I find the policy unreasonable, and I don't accept it.

Three hours later, I'm informed that I will get everything I asked for, and further, that dickbag will change the policy to match what I asked for.

No longer able to slander. [Jul. 5th, 2005|12:08 pm]
[Tags|, ]

From Plastic

Australian Christians are bitterly whining
over the loss of their right to slander and defame other religions. The
loss of this right stemmed from the implementation of the Racial and
Religious Tolerance Act, which allows for complaints of breaches of
racial and religious tolerance. Some intolerant Christians have chosen
to portray themselves as martyrs. For instance, a pair of convicted Islamophobic pastors
have opted to go to jail instead of offering a public apology to the
Muslims they slandered. And it's not just Muslims. The law has also
been invoked to crack down on Christians who vilified Wiccans and Occultists.
